A wand that zaps the target with red demonic energy. This energy also looks the same as Lion's ultimate spell and Razor's basic attacks, making them easy to confuse. It's a popular choice for many caster or nuking heroes, and can easily be used to finish off kills or killsteal one of your teammates.
The Dagon recipe requires Blades of Attack and a Staff of Wizardry. It can be upgraded several times (+100 Energy Burst damage, bit more intelligence each) by purchasing more scrolls. The recipe scroll is sold in the Arcane Sanctum like all the other wands and scepters in Defense of the Ancients.
Energy Burst: Deals several hundred damage to the target. Please remember that all heroes do have base resistance to magical damage. Cooldown and mana cost also decrease with each time the dota Dagon item is leveled up. It also gets a slightly larger range. allowing it to be used on a target farther away.

- Anub'arak -+- the Spider Assassin
He's a lot more feared with one of these in his backpacks. Greatly increases the damage potential of his vendetta from nowhere, impale & mana burn combo. - Pugna -+- The Oblivion Skeleton
Great synergy with Decrepify. Does a lot of bonus damage, but not always a good choice on this dota hero. - Atropos -+- The Bane Elemental
Finishes off any characters which might be left alive from your Sap/Grip combo. Bane has too low attack range to chase well. - Ishkafel -+- the Dark Seer
Adds some solid damage to the character. - Rotundjere -+- the Necrolyte
Greatly increases the damage your ultimate does, especailly with a Dagon 5 dota item. That little baby hits for 800 before being reduced.
